As of 18November,the rporate and Business Registration Department (CBRD)of Mauritius is using XBRL to llect annual financial statements from registered businesses.

The agency has partnered with Mauritius work Services,which administers a template-based instance document generator for filers to use.Once the data has been validated the system generates a .zip file that mpanies can upload to the CBRD.Since the the data is also validated when filed to the CBRD,mpanies can also generate their own XBRL files for submission.This is the send XBRL initiative in Mauritius.The untry’s Central Bankautomated its entire data llection,management and processing system starting in 2014.The CBRD has been actively engaging with stakeholders,which experience has shown to be a critical step in a suessful implementation.
