In another sign of the SEC’smitment to the value of structured data, the agency has launched a pilotprogram to provide information from XBRL filings in bined data sets on theSEC’s web for use by investors and academics. The information is presented“as filed” and optimized for use in analysis and parison. The data sets alsontain additional fields including a pany’s Standard IndustrialClassification. The data sets will be expanded in 2015 to include data infootnotes to the financial statements.
