Term limits saw a changing of the guard for the XBRL International Board at the elections in November this year.The following Board members were duly elected into key leadership roles at the meeting of the Board of Directors on 18December.
Cees de Boer –Chair
Mr deBoer is a member of the Executive mittee at Deloitte in the herlands serving as CFO and O since 2007.He began his career at Arthur Andersen in the herlands in 1981in the audit division and was appointed partner in the herlands in 1993,assuming responsibility for Arthur Andersen’s nsulting activities.Following the merger with Deloitte in 2002,he became a partner at Deloitte nsulting,with a focus on CFO services.He is a member of the Deloitte ernance mittee and serves on the Global Board of Directors and as the Chairman of the Audit mittee of the Global Board of Directors.Mr de Boer is based in the herlands.
John Dill –Vice Chair
Mr Dill has over 25years of experience in the information technology industry in both managerial and technical roles.He spearheaded the first DPM-based taxonomy for Solvency II reporting,and development of XBRL taxonomies in support of International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS)reporting both in the insurance sector and for Basel II reporting in Bermuda.Prior to joining the Bermuda Moary Authority,Mr.Dill was a Project Manager at the Bank of Bermuda (a member of the HSBC Group)where he was responsible for the delivery of a diverse portfolio of projects in the Bank’s Operational Risk,pliance,and Finance areas.He currently acts as a senior nsultant in the banking sector and is based in the United Kingdom.
Robert Tarola –Treasurer
Mr Tarola is President of Right Advisory LLC,a specialist nsulting firm that serves operating executives,ernance bodies and finance professionals.Mr.Tarola has extensive experience as a public mpany director,public mpany CFO and public mpany auditor.His experience with XBRL includes participation,as a public mpany CFO in the US SEC’s voluntary filing pilot project and in the implementation of XBRL as a director and audit mmittee member for two public mpanies.He is based in the United States.
