XBRL International (XII) is developing an XBRL Foundation urse as the basis for an examination leading to the XBRL Foundation Certificate. The urse will enpass foundation XBRL technologies as well as the role that XBRL plays in a variety of information value chains. XII is seeking 10 examination writers to help prepare questions for the examination.

The urse will be delivered on the Web and is the equivalent of an eight-hour face-to-face urse. It will initially be delivered in English with other languages to follow. It is designed as an introduction to XBRL for candidates from a wide variety of backgrounds, including information technology professionals and decision makers from ernment, public policy, business, and the acunting profession. XII has ntracted with a subject matter expert (SME) for production of the learning ntent. XII has also ntracted with a Learning and Delivery Expert (LDE) for instructional design, audio-visual materials, and Web-design and delivery. The urse will be launched at the 23rd XBRL International nference on October 25-27, 2011.

The XBRL International Certification Board (XCB) has been charged with monitoring and guiding the development of the urse and examination. The XCB wishes to appoint ten examination question writers. Each writer must:

1. Attend an online examination writing training workshop with representatives of the LDE;

2. Prepare twenty-five (25) multiple-choice questions, following guidance and style manuals set by the LDE. The timeline for preparation of the examination questions is the period from September 1 to 30, 2011;

3. Respond to quality assurance suggestions from the LDE and XCB; and

4. mplete appropriate documentation and intellectual property (IP) waivers.

The XCB will reward each question writer with:

1. A plimentary registration at a forthing XBRL International nference; and

2. Regnition of the name of the writer in the online urse and other materials from XII.

In addition, the three examination writers will each receive an iPad or equivalent Android tablet, to be presented at the 23rd XBRL International nference.
