XBRL International (XII) is seeking candidates for the XSB Chair as part of its scheduled rotation of this leadership position. XII has experienced a global expansion of adoption and interest in XBRL and the electronic standardization of business information it facilitates. This has raised expectations of an accelerated evolution of the XBRL specification, support materials and communication linkage to XBRL projects and the community at large. The selected Chair for these key activities of XII must be committed to leading with a collaborative and market focused approach.
The XSB is responsible for managing the production of the consortium's technical materials. It is charged with setting priorities for the creation of new material and ensuring all material is of a uniformly high quality, with the goal of accelerating adoption of XBRL around the world.

Procedure
Standards Board Chair candidates may be nominated by any member of XII and may include selfnominations. The Nominations Committee will conduct interviews with qualified candidates after the deadline for submissions. A candidate recommendation will be presented to the XII Board for approval with the term beginning immediately after such approval.
Term
The Chair’s term is annual. The Chair should not serve as chair for more than 3 consecutive terms and not more than 3 terms in any period of 6 years. The Chair will be expected to:
♦Oversee the production of the consortium’s technical materials and Working Groups Lead weekly calls of the XII Standards Board
♦Periodically report activities to the XII Board and other interested parties
♦Guide the delivery of the objectives within the XII document “Preserve, Promote,Participate”
♦Raise the level of openness and market feedback in the XBRL International standards setting
process
♦Strategically address interoperability of XBRL and other standards
♦Strive to achieve consensus of the Standards Board wherever possible
♦Be well qualified in at least one (and preferably more) of the primary competencies of the XSB members, which are:
o Software Architecture
o Business Reporting Management
o Product Management
o Programme Management Eligibility
