TASK FORCE TO FOCUS ON ENHANCING CROSS-TAXONOMY PARABILITY
NEW YORK, NY, MARCH 24, 2011 – XBRL International, Inc. (XII) announced today that it has initiated the formation of a task force to address the ic of XBRL parability. As global adoption of XBRL ntinues to grow, this will be a key initiative in unlocking the tremendous potential in data analysis and intelligent business processing which XBRL can provide.
"In our recent strategic initiatives survey the global XBRL marketplace identified parability as an important and crucial next step for realizing the full potential of structured business reporting utilizing the XBRL standard. Additionally, since the survey results were published, major ERP and enterprise software vendors have also nfirmed that this is a high priority ic that they wish to see addressed by the nsortium ," said Anthony Fragnito, CPA, CEO of XBRL International, Inc.
The task force will be responsible for defining the set of use cases and technical requirements which will serve as the foundation for the working group that is to follow. anizations and individuals who are interested in participating in this task force are invited to submit an application to parability@, and are enuraged to provide a brief summary as to their interest in XBRL parability and what they feel they would bring to the task force. All submissions will then be reviewed by the XSB for final appointments to the task force. The deadline for submission to the task force is Friday April 22, 2011.
