Another iXBRL-mpliant rporation Tax filing product is schled for release in May as the result of an alliance between TaxCalc and the online XBRL specialist Arkk Solutions.

The planned web-based system will let users upload Excel Acunts to a TaxCalc-hosted web server that will return an iXBRL-tagged file ready for submission to HMRC.

TaxCalc brand director Anne Porter said that research among its customers put an Excel-based tool was “at the forefront of our minds”. Arkk presented the tax developer with a “ready-made tool for all Excel users”, she added.

The new system will eliminate the need for users to develop a detailed technical knowledge of XBRL taxonomies and will store all data securely in the UK.
