Fujitsu today announced in North America enhancements to its eXtensible Business Reporting Language (XBRL) Partner Program at the XBRL US National Conference, held November 17-18, 2009, in New York.
News Highlights
The SEC and other regulatory bodies across the globe are mandating that financial reports be filed in XBRL. Companies are turning to solution and service providers to assist them with filing in this standard format and to significantly simplify the ways in which they collect, compare, track, and analyze financial data within and across their organizations. The enhanced XBRL Partner Program helps these solution and service providers easily incorporate XBRL into their offerings to meet their clients' goals by providing software packages and pricing models that are tailored to meet their specific needs. It draws on the experience that Fujitsu has garnered through helping the Tokyo Stock Exchange Group, Inc., Financial Supervisory Service in Korea, Financial Services Agency in Japan, Bank of Spain, Merrill Corporation, Clarity Systems, Trintech, and the major global auditing firms with adopting XBRL.
The program provides Independent Software Vendors (ISVs), Printers and Filers, Auditors, and Investment Research Firms with custom packages that will accelerate delivery of their solutions and services to market:
n Independent Software Vendors - ISVs that are looking to embed XBRL technology within their existing solutions will benefit from a package that includes a software developer kit with access to comprehensive APIs, developer-level support to assist with the customization of their existing solutions, and flexibility in pricing so that it aligns with the ISV's current pricing models.
n Printers and Filers - Intermediaries such as Printers and Filers that assist enterprises with filing financial reports in the XBRL format will benefit from the automated mapping and tagging package that Fujitsu provides. In addition, Fujitsu offers Printers and Filers the option to choose from 1) a base package that covers a specific number of filings per customer as well as 2) a premium package that allows for an unlimited number of filings on behalf of a specific customer.
n Auditors - For the audit community that requires a solution to simplify the review of financial reports submitted by enterprises, a special package that includes an integrated viewing tool and a platform for automating audit procedures is now being offered. Fujitsu offers auditing firms the option to leverage volume purchase or enterprise license agreements.
n Investment Research Firms - Service providers that deliver financial analysis to clients now need to compare reports from companies that were submitted in the XBRL format. Fujitsu provides these firms with a platform that helps pull together XBRL data from various sources and an integrated viewer that lets them review the consolidated information. Usage-based pricing is available for these partners.
n Fujitsu continues to provide OEM, reseller, and referral partners with dedicated account managers and consulting teams, customized training programs, and extensive development, co-marketing, and sales support.
n Interstage Xwand, the Fujitsu XBRL offering, is modular, easy-to-use, standards-based, has comprehensive APIs, and is easily re-brandable -- making it the ideal choice for partners that want to embed or extend the solution.
n Fujitsu was also among the founding members of the XBRL consortium and continues to drive the development of the specification and its adoption across the financial reporting ecosystem.
n As a platinum sponsor, Fujitsu will talk more about the enhanced XBRL Partner Program at the XBRL US National Conference held November 17-18, 2009, in New York.
