Limited panies and sole traders should find filing aounts easier after HM Revenue & Customs (HMRC) and panies House announced they will aept online submissions in the same format, a tax official has claimed.
Gareth Jones, chief executive of panies House, made the ments after the two anizations announced that they would adopt a mon approach to the filing of tax to rce the administrative burden on small-to-medium enterprises.
panies House is to aept pany aounts in the Inline XBRL, the format in which all submissions to HMRC must be made in from April 2011.
Gareth Jones, chief executive of panies House, said: "This early statement of our intentions will reassure businesses that both HMRC and panies House are working closely together to align our services to make the filing of aounts as easy as possible for UK panies."
He added that his anization will adopt the same software by the summer of 2010.
Aording to HMRC, businesses liable for rporation tax have to plete a pany tax return for each aounting period. |
