XBRL US, the nonprofit nsortium for XML business reporting, announced that detailed case studies and advanced ics in XML and XBRL development would be presented at its upming Pacific Rim Technology Workshop to be held at Hitachi Data Systems Headquarters in Santa Clara, California on July 28-30, 2009.
“Product managers and XML developers stand to gain significantly from this workshop where they’ll have an opportunity to learn, share ideas and me up with solutions to issues like rendering, versioning and maintenance. This workshop is worthwhile not only for XBRL experts but for the uninitiated who are still in the learning phase,” said Campbell Pryde, Chief Standards Officer, XBRL US.

Practical, hands-on taxonomy maintenance workshop – an overview of the change management process in place today through real-world case studies in Japan and the US; participants will be able to test out change management approaches during the session

Rendering challenges – a dialogue about issues and possible solutions
Data quality and validation – discussion on problems in XBRL creation, how it impacts the user and ways to solve it
