The Securities and Exchange mission so far is the only U.S. ernment agency to require financial reporting to include eXtensible Business Reporting Language, or XBRL, data tags. That uld change. A bill proposed by U.S. Rep. Darrell Issa, D-Calif., would require the federal ernment to standardize all data llection and reporting through the use of XBRL "to the maximum extent practicable."
