| Bai Shuo, General Engineer of the Shanghai Stock Exchange (SSE), pointed out in Beijing yesterday that the SSE, under the guidance of the China Securities Regulatory Commission (CSRC), is now actively promoting the application of XBRL (eXtensible Business Reporting Language) in the information of funds based on the application of XBRL in listed companies' information disclosure. He added that the SSE would actively strengthen its communication with XBRL members and commit itself to providing timely XBRL-based information of listed companies for international investors. This measure will enable the investors to have an all-round, accurate and in-depth knowledge of the Shanghai Securities Market, so as to enhance the transparence and profundity of the market and to expand the influence of China's securities market. Bai pointed out yesterday in his theme lecture at the "WFE Forum for Developing Markets" that by referring to the advanced international standard under the framework and system defined in the "Electronic Information Disclosure Specification for Listed Companies" initiated by the CSRC, the SSE has successfully applied XBRL to listed companies' information disclosure. This marks the innovation of supervision management and service work and the enhancement of the transparency of listed companies' information. |
